Life Changes

Well it looks like we wont be in the desert much longer. I'm expecting to move to Colorado soon. Should be nice, though I'll also have to make changes with my EP Motherhood column as well. Besides that it has just been one meeting or appointment after another for the last month...with plenty more to come.

Happy New Year 2010! Sorry its late, but you know how it goes... So I'm off to work again as I've got lots to catch up on.

An I Love My Babies moment: I think, like many mothers, I just find myself in awe at what goes through my babes' mind throughout each day. When you realize that the whole world is new to them, it helps you consider their perspective during the course of the day. What I'm about to share took place a few months back though I remembered it again today as I walked home from the mall.

We were on the road back to California to visit the family for a long weekend we had. As we were leaving El Paso, I noticed my Sunshine was unusually quiet. LOL It's usually non stop chatter from him. Well, the hubby and I attempted to pass the time discussing random stuff when Sunshine kicked the back of my seat in an attempt to get my attention as only he knows how. He asked me, "Momma, do clouds fly?"

Funny, I think he must have been considering that while he was all quiet in the back seat. I said "I don't know, maybe they float"...

Back in action for 2010

Wow! It's been a long couple of months!  The holidays always seem to go that way, though.  Well, here's a blog to get things started of right.

News:  I've mostly been working on my writing projects over the holidays, started with NaNoWriMo in November and boy was it intense.  So I've set my novel aside for a few weeks to get ready for my second round of editing.  This, I hope will give me time to keep up and improve on my three Examiner.com columns...which you can find the links to in my bio.

Adventuring:  I've decided to give this blog a bit more focus and center this year on reading.  I've set a goal of reading 100 books between now and January 1, 2011.  I'm limiting that list to new releases only and only those that fall within the paranormal/urban fantasy genre.  Both eBooks and the printed and bound versions.  This should be a nice adventure.  I usually don't read romance novels, however, paranormal ones tend to have one with greater potential as memorable.

So authors out there, you are welcome to provide or suggest new book titles in the genre for reading and review.  All reviews will be posted here...the best (or worst) ones will likely make it to my Paranormal Entertainment column for a wider audience.

In the meantime, I'm off to wrap up some research and put the kiddies to bed.

Talk to you soon,
Elle.
